Pay Per Click Advertisement

Frauds And Genuine Advertisers

Pay per click is an innovative way of advertising on web sites, search engines and networks. In a pay per click plan the advertiser will pay for the number of clicks the advertisement receives which is always in the thousands if not the millions. This is a dicey way of advertising if the pay per click company is not of good repute or low on integrity. As the advertiser is paying per thousand clicks the advertising site can submit the site to auto rotating sites where the advertisement is displayed randomly and the advertiser is billed.

This is an unfair way of displaying the advertiser's advertisements because the pay per click advertisements are supposed to be highly targeted ads. When people search the Internet for information relating to the pay per click ad the site hosting the ad will turn up on the search engine home page. So people, who are not interested in the product the pay per click ad is promoting, will not get to see the ad. The way pay per click advertisements work is as follows: Companies or any one who need to advertise bid on certain 'keywords' that they think their potential customers will enter in the search engines to look for the products that the company is promoting. Let us take for example that if an advertiser is selling patent leather shoes he presumes that potential customers will type any words relating to leather or shoes while searching for shoes on the Internet. So the advertiser will buy a number of clicks from certain sites that host pay per click ads. When a person types in any one of the keywords the advertiser has bought the site bearing his advertisement will show up on the search engine page. If the visitor clicks on the advertisement it costs the advertiser one 'click'.

These advertisements are also called 'sponsored' advertisements. The various search engines charge different rates for clicks. The cost usually starts from US$0.01 up to US$0.50 per click. There many companies and sites that host your site and send the links out to their subscribers who view a certain minimum number of sites everyday in return for a small fee. This is an unfair way of charging for clicks as these viewers or members of sites are not targeted visitors of the advertisement. They are just clicking on the advertisement for the money. Sites send out emails containing URL's of pay per click ads. The member clicks on the URL and the advertiser is charges a click. Pay per click is supposed to be targeted at people who are actually interested in the product the advertisement is promoting. Not just any Tom Dick or Harry.

There are companies that are well versed in the online advertisement techniques. Orange County is one such company. They are pioneers the field of innovative advertisement techniques and are sure to come up with a way to assure you that your pay per click advertisement will reach the target market segment.
